What's Included

All my packages include all of your edited images, the number presented is just the typical amount you are expected to receive and a minimum. You will not have to purchase any additional images following your session. They are ALL included :) 
 
The amount of images is really based on the temperament of the baby, parental involvement; meaning if parents are also included in the images there will obviously be more photos delivered. I don't pick and choose, siblings etc. You can expect to receive all the images that turn out during your session to be delivered to you.The only images that will not be delivered are those that are out of focus, duplicates, or otherwise not a deliverable image. You will not have to purchase any additional images after the session; however if you'd like to buy an album or canvas, those are obviously additional costs but you are welcome to print wherever you'd like with the personal use print release included with your session.
 
 
Style

Lifestyle, minimal posing, clean backdrops, baby/family focused. I really believe in capturing the entire family for newborn photos, not just the baby. So I ask that both of my parents come to the session ready for portraits as well. Please wear a neutral colored shirt (gray or beige) for the session so we can keep the focus on your faces and baby. I do a combination of baby led posing and lifestyle approach. We will start the session with the family and then end with a few baby led posed photos. I do not do overly posed images and I really believe in keeping everything as natural as possible, check out my sample galleries to see what you can expect! Baby is always clothed, wearing a white onesie or swaddled with minimal movement of them so they can be as natural as possible.

In Studio Sessions

My NEW newborn/family studio is located in Freeland Maryland and specifically designed for these sessions to be perfectly lit and beautiful all the time. You'll come around back of my space and enter via the large sliding doors. Before arriving I ask that you feed the baby prior to coming in so they are all full and content but you will most likely be feeding them throughout the session to keep them happy! If siblings are present we will do photos with siblings first (because attention spans are real for kids) and then with the entire family followed by with the parents. I have neutral walls I use as backdrops with natural lighting, a large *posing pillow* for baby solo photos, cute wicker day bed for family photos and tons of greenery to keep the vibe natural. I try to use as much natural lighting as possible so you won't see a "typical" photography studio vibe when you walk in (its designed to be like a home space).
 
All poses are very natural where baby will be laying on the large "posey" pillow in my studio or held in your arms. If you have a specific outfit you want them to wear please let me know but I have outfits in studio as well as accessories you can use!! But to keep to my style it should be neutral in color and minimal with "extras". I do have outfits for baby in my studio!!

In Home Sessions
 
Same as above but I don't bring any backdrops with me or outfits, I keep everything very lifestyle and true to what you have in your home. We'll do photos in three primary spaces, the nursery, the master bedroom and the living room. I ask families to have clutter picked up and keep all the windows open to allow for plenty of natural lighting. I have lighting I can bring but prefer natural lighting. These sessions are typically only 1 hour in length, once I feel like I've gotten the appropriate amount of images to capture your newborn session the session is over.

How do I get the photos?

Digital download in an online gallery. This is also great because you can share this gallery with your family and friends and they are also able to download all or any single photo from the session for free! It's all included! If they'd like to purchase prints they can do so right on the gallery site from my favorite printing company!
 
 
How to I book and pay?

You will pay a non-refundable retainer of $100 to hold your session date and time. From there you will pay the remaining balance on the day of your session in the form of cash, check or credit card. 


What Happens if we need to move our appointment?

Babies don't come when they are supposed to , most of the time. So in the event that baby is early, later, or in the NICU we can totally change and be flexible with moving your session date and your retainer will move with it.
