COUPLES. MATERNITY. NEWBORN. FAMILY
moments that matter are worth capturing
timeless . precious . forever
Engagement sessions are so much fun for those who are newly engaged or looking to grab a few photos before their wedding to share on their save the dates or at the wedding reception! Most of my wedding packages include engagement sessions but if you are looking to book one without a wedding collection I have a few options for you!
Families! I typically book family sessions throughout the year but MAINLY people book sessions during the holidays, which is wonderful but also a mistake. As parents, we rarely get to be in photos, and grandparents don't ever get in any photos. Schedule a family session once a year, not necessarily for Christmas or the Fall or anything like that, but if you want to you can, but its great to have at least ONE family photos from every year to look back on the growth your family is making.
I absolutely LOVE maternity sessions and I encourage ALL moms to do one for each of your babies because you are only pregnant for 9 months and its such a monumental time in your life! My first pregnancy I didn't do a maternity session and I whole heartedly regret it, but for my last two pregnancies I have photos to remember my belly bump!
Birth stories, fresh 48, newborn and baby photography is one of my favorite to do because of how much fun it is to capture these amazing experiences for families! I have FIVE kids too and I love capturing all of those moments. You have lots of different options to capture the first moments of your story and I've outlined just a few of them below! Most clients book a newborn and a 1 year session so they have those two monumental moments captured professionally!

The Best Time of Day
Golden hour is the BEST time of day to do your photos.
Which is 1 hour after sunrise or 2 hours before sunset!
If you can't do one of those, just PLEASE don't schedule a time for during the middle of the day. Noon is the worst typically in the summer because it creates harsh light and bags under your eyes.
what to wear?!
these are some of my favorite neutrals for sessions
I prefer neutral colors, so that you can keep the background in check, but if you want hella vibrant colors, go with it for sure! Meaning, don't just pick what everyone else is wearing or what you "think" you should wear. Try to let me know before hand what you are wearing and I can help you choose!
Think about the weather, if its hot out, don't wear a sweater obviously. Try to stay within your season when choosing your outfit styles!
Keep your outfits simple or go all out, whatever you do just be you!
