Did you know I own my own natural light portrait studio located in Hunt Valley Maryland (just across from the Target on York Road)? Well I do!! You may have seen the tufted khaki sofa in a few boudoir photos, or when you came to talk about your wedding photography we met at my 8 foot custom designed hand made rustic wood table!! Well, I'm all about being genuine and authentic all the time and I really wanted to create a comfortable and chic atmosphere in my studio. My goal was for clients to come into the studio and feel like they weren't stepping into a business, but rather stepping into my home.
When I first was thinking about a studio I went to a few different locations and they were great, but I was really excited when I saw how many windows, the location, and how naturally lit this studio was. Plus, it had an open floor plan which is what my creative pallet desperately needed. When we first got the studio, July 2016, my husband and I literally had to put all the flooring, repair the walls, update and add ALOT of ceiling tiles (which are super duper expensive) as well as purchase all new furniture for it. It was definitely an undertaking, but I knew it was the growth that my business needed to move in the direction I wanted with boudoir shoots and meetings with my bridal clients.
When I got the key!!!!!!!!!!!
Yah, this is how it looked.... bahhhh
Sometimes I rent the studio out to other photographers but for the most part the studio is expressly used for my sole branding purposes, meaning all the furniture was chosen and purchased by me for my brand. I love neutral colors but obviously pops of blush pink are totally my thing. Most of the furniture was purchased from wayfair or amazon, because I'm literally addicted (and have no time to not shop online) to buying everything from these two places!!!
If you were ever wondering what the studio was like or where all the gorgeous boudoir shoots happen, this is the place!!
