What can I say about Laura, other than that through the entire process booking, getting to know, and ultimately capturing her Annapolis wedding to her beloved Andrew has created such a good friendship! When I first met Laura and Andrew we sat down and just talked about everything and anything. We talked about the wedding and questions we had for me but other than that it was just more like hanging out with friends then a consultation. I was insanely thrilled that she and Andrew chose me to be their wedding photographer.
Over the course of several months Laura made her self a personal facebook friend of mine and came to all the free events I had for my LRP brides throughout the year. She also would consistently come to me for help on wedding planning and asking my advice! I was so thankful not only that they chose me to photograph their wedding, but that they both TRUSTED me with giving them suggestions and advice on everything! I suggested her amazing makeup artist Natalie Harris as well as their DJ Dave Testerman. The wedding day was truly a dream team... except that Uber (but we'll forget about that*inside joke*). Hotel Annapolis was such a stunning venue!!
I don't think it could have gone any better than they dreamed of. The whole day was just so relaxing and perfect, not to mention the weather was amazing which this year was RARE to find! And do you know WHY their wedding day was so perfect and amazing?!?! THEY TRUSTED THEIR WEDDING TEAM! Throughout the process Laura and Andrew would both divert and trust the wedding professionals they hired like hair/makeup and their DJ or photography/videography.... because they know that WE know what we are doing. This allowed them to just kick back and ENJOY their wedding that they planned and spent so much time thinking about.
Below is the after wedding questionnaire that is filled out by Laura and Andrew regarding their wedding day! Check it out::::
Can you list some of your wedding vendors & their websites/Insta? *like your DJ, florist, dress designer, hair and makeup?* *
How did you two meet? *
When and how did the proposal happen?! *
Secretly making me believe my brother was having a Christmas Choir concert down at the beach, Andrew took me to the place where we had our first date. He parked and I started to notice there wasn't anyone around. It was Christmas Eve, winter, cold, and we were at the beach. He then took my hand and walked me through the same walk we took 5 years before and told me what he was thinking back then when we first me. As he came upon the gazebo we took our first selfie at, there were a dozen red roses. He got on one knee and spoke the most beautiful words as he asked me to marry him! I love my best friend!
What made you choose your wedding venue? *
After going to venue after venue, not finding the vibe we were looking for, not finding the right one. Andrew mentioned he heard the Hotel Annapolis had wonderful food. After going to visit and seeing the exposed brick we fell in love
What was the BEST part about your wedding? *
Everything, I have to pick just one?! My wedding photos are amazing, I look back at them almost daily! Along with my wedding flowers they were perfect
What was the WORST part about your wedding?
Merp, transportation? Thinking you'll have time to organize an UBER on your wedding day, them leaving you, and secretly turning up in an orange car with your wedding photographer by your side? Ah even the worst things turned into best things!
If you could offer ONE piece of advice to engaged couples planning a wedding, what would it be? *
Stop stressing right now. Just stop. Half the things you are stressing about (i.e. chair covers, save the dates, invitations, little decor ideas) are all going to be so minimal when it comes to the day, AND your guests wont even realize how much effort you put into them! Focus on why you are doing what you are doing. Spend time during the planning phase snuggling on the couch and hanging out. You are about to marry your best friend! That is the most important and precious of all <3
