So, whilst in the off season I'm reflecting on all the different weddings and engagement sessions I had last year and Kim + DJ's Terrapin Beach Park engagement shoot was one of my all time favorites! First of all, not only are Kim and DJ obsessed with the beach but so am I, but unfortunately in Maryland you typically have to drive 3+ hours to get to the actual beach (which is also covered in people). So the next best place to head would be the bay!! We didn't go to the typical location I go, which is Sandy Point State Park because they wanted to experience some place that was different for them! This was the first time I ever shot at Terrapin Beach Park, which if you're interested in visiting its on the other side of the bay bridge directly across from where Sandy Point State Park is. It's quieter, less people, and there is much more vegetation to use for textured shots! It also feels really tropical, like you aren't even in Maryland. But the best part of this shoot had to be the sun. So, I have to be real, the sun is kind of my favorite and if he was a person, we'd be best friends because those gorgeous golden hour sunsets are my absolute favorite because of how DREAMY they are!!! Then once the sun went down, we decided to create some light of our own and get creative with some backlit shots in one of the sheds on the property!
